Tom Gallaher became President and CEO in 2010 with the plan of maintaining his father’s value system and standards of excellence, after working his way through various positions within the company. He has since made a decision to focus on the CEO role exclusively to drive the strategic long-term vision and growth of the company.

Gallaher delivers great value through engineering and project expertise, while offering complimentary services that add additional value to the client relationship.

CEO Tom Gallaher, the son of founder Roy Gallaher, Tom had the opportunity at a very young age to identify that his passion for the family business set his career course in stone.

As a former Division-I scholar athlete in basketball, Tom graduated in 4 years, while earning a BBA degree in Operations Management and a Mathematics minor from Radford University. Upon Tom’s arrival to Gallaher, the communications division grew drastically in both revenues and profitability. Within 6 years, before becoming the sales and operations manager, he posted the largest individual sales year in the company’s history to date, posting over $2.8 million in solutions to valued customers. Now as CEO of Gallaher, Tom stresses the core values he was taught as a child in a Christian home and encourages stewardship toward others.

Passionate about serving others with education being among his highest priorities, Tom recently concluded his board chairmanship for Junior Achievement of East TN, which focuses on entrepreneurial and financial literacy of more than 185,000 students in schools across 17 counties in the area. He also served as a charter member of the Radford University Athletic Foundation.

Tom was also honored by the Greater Knoxville Business Journal’s coveted 40 Under 40 class of 2010, and also served as the board president of the Entrepreneurial Organization’s (EO) East TN chapter, whose 30 local business owners are responsible for $300M in combined sales and employs more than 1,000 people in the East TN area and beyond.

Gallaher as a company also serves the community through its contributions to local schools, to JA, and as a strong supporter of the United Way of Blount County. Tom is also active member at the Maryville church of Christ by serving as a Youth Education Coordinator and as a leader in the church’s small group ministry. He is happily married to his wife, Susan, and is the proud father of two beautiful girls, Maggie and Josephine.
